Ellen Duffield

Director of The Leadership Studio at Muskoka Woods. Ellen is a wife, mom and grandmother. She is also one of the five founders of NextLEVEL Leadership. With a Masters of Arts in Management and Leadership, 30 years of leadership and facilitation experience, and ongoing local and international research projects, Ellen is committed to the ongoing growth of Christian women leaders. Charlene Van Ee

A diverse nursing career couldn’t sustain the internal ache Charlene had to speak into the vulnerable parts of men and women alike. At a young age, she knew God designed her to be a brave communicator, a specific skill of intentional dialogue, yet it took a serious car accident to align her steps forward. Recently, she graduated with a Master of Arts in Leadership and Management from Briercrest. Her engaging stories fosters creative opportunities to speak in various settings, such as high schools, camps, conferences and retreats. She continues to pursue a speaking career while facilitating dialogue that celebrates the layers of individual and collaborative stories. Email:

Angeline Edouard

Married since 1997, Angeline is the mother of seven wonderful children. She is co-founder of the New Generation Revival Ministries, a special care counsellor, speaker and evangelist. Angeline is currently studying theology at Christian Life University. She is also a licensed leadership facilitator for NextLEVEL Leadership. Her desire is to help women be propelled into their destiny and take their position as daughters and princesses of the King. “God has put in us the flavours of his heaven and as the women of this generation we must season our sphere of influence with the ingredients of the kingdom.” Email:

Alexandra Depuhl

Alexandra has degrees in Hotel Management and studied Education in Tampa, Florida. For 25 years she served as the business manager of a Christian camp she and her husband founded. Alexandra has served on many Boards as the first woman, co-initiated women’s networks and authored various books. Alexandra brought NextLEVEL Leadership to Germany in 2005 – where she serves as the German Lead facilitator – and to Paraguay with Waltraud Siemens in 2010. She continues to speak at conferences, mentor young leaders, and train Facilitators. Alexandra is committed to teaching women to lead and transform the world. Email:

Carrie Jones

Carrie is a Family Life Pastor at Southridge Community Church in St. Catharines Ontario. Carrie is married to Steve and a mum to 3 amazing daughters. Carrie is currently a part-time student at Knox College and working toward her Masters in Pastoral Studies. She is a certified Enneagram teacher with the Canadian Institute of Enneagram Studies. Carrie is intentional and passionate about lifelong learning, contemplative living, leadership and empowering women of all ages. One of the highlights of her work at Southridge is leading a 3 program known as Southridge BRAVE Girls. This program builds confidence in and empowers young girls. As a facilitator with NextLevel Leadership at Southridge, Carrie is committed to opening doors for female leaders and seeing men and women lead the family of God together.  Email address

Ashley Nelson

Ashley Nelson was born and raised in Southern Ontario. She recently married, and now lives in Muskoka Ontario. Ashley went to school for recreational theory and healthcare.  She has always had a passion and heart for others. In the last few years, God has been showing her slowly what his plan is; filling her with knowledge, strength and confidence and opening her heart towards building leaders. She is heavily involved with youth ministry at her church. She has worked in camp ministry for over 6 years, growing staff and campers. Ashley one day hopes to be in Ministry full-time growing the Christian community with woman and youth. Email:

Waltraud Siemens

Waltraud studied theology. She loves to convey knowledge.  That is why she has a passion to work in the library of CEMTA (Faculty of Theology and Music). It inspires her to provide students and lecturers with the adequate books and other materials at the right time. She learned NextLevel Leadership in Germany and was convinced that it was the right thing for German-speaking women in Paraguay. Since 2011, she is the team leader of NextLevel Leadership Paraguay. Margarita Dyck

Margarita is an architect and has a passion for beauty and creativity in architecture as well as in women’s lives. After finishing all modules of NextLevel Leadership, she inspires other women to unfold this true God-given beauty. For many years, she has worked in Women’s Ministries of her local church and is currently active in discipleship. Margarita lives with her husband and three children in Paraguay, in the heart of South America. Email:


Vira Shevchenko

Vira is a co-founder of “Zolotoy Gorod” (Golden City) Christian Publishing House, Kiev, Ukraine. She is a children’s book author, editor and translator. Her University degrees are in Education, Music and Orchestra Conducting, and she has compiled a number of songbooks in Ukraine, Russia and Georgia (Republic of) during her work with Christian Camping International /Ukraine. She works as a women’s counselor, speaker and teacher. Vira is a wife, mother and grandmother. She lives and works in Kiev, Ukraine. Email:

Sharon Simmonds

Sharon (BA Social Development, MA Evangelism & Leadership, D.Min. Leadership) has leadership experience raising four children and working in both charitable and church leadership roles. She has a heart for healthy organizations and a passion for Jesus and his Church. Sharon is committed to building up the body of Christ by developing Christian leaders and leadership groups, and she is excited to facilitate learning and growth through the NextLEVEL Leadership Program. Karen Ward

Karen spent 20 years in camp leadership, managing programs and training teams.  She now oversees a ministry working with Indigenous youth and families which opened her world to new intercultural insights and understanding our complex Canadian history.   As a graduate of NextLevel, Karen brings intercultural views to leadership training increasing the capacity for other ways of learning and knowing.  Email:

Joan Hyatt

Joan is a family counsellor, at Jericho counselling Services and Chair of the Board of Elders at Southridge Church in St Catharines, Ontario. She has a MScEd and has been leading and facilitating groups for 30 years. Passionate about helping people become all they are meant to be, Joan’s gifts of encouragement and teaching are front and centre in her role with NextLEVEL Leadership. Email:

Debi Snider

Debi graduated from Emmanuel Bible College, Kitchener ON with a Christian Ed Diploma and a Missions Certificate.  The skills she gathered from NextLEVEL Leadership and Carol Kent’s Speak Up With Confidence courses aided her as she lead in various Women’s Ministries positions.  Debi has been president of WM at her local church, Director of WM at the district level and also Director of EMCWomen of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada. Email:

Catherine MacKeil

Catherine’s background in HR, her extensive leadership and business experience and her strong commitment to shared leadership combine to make her an asset to the team. The expertise Catherine gained in both Canada-wide and International for-profit and not-for profit organizations, support her passion for helping Christian women develop in their God given calling as leaders.

Sandy Broad

Sandy has worked for years in non-profit organizations, including being a Worship Pastor in a community church and is currently pursuing a MTS at Wycliffe College.  After being one of the first to complete all four modules she became a facilitator.  She loves meeting the participants, getting to know their journeys and seeing them blossom into the places God has called them.  Sandy is happily married, with two grown children and a demanding Westie puppy. Cathie Ostapchuk

Cathie’s work and ministry as a leadership development trainer, consultant and coach – has led her to work in global non-profit organizations such as World Vision and Compassion, corporate boardrooms, and has taken her across Canada and as far as Africa and Australia doing the work she loves. Her mission statement is to help clarify purpose and vision for individuals, teams and organizations. Cathie is committed to raising the profile and presence of Canadian Christian women coast to coast and as the Co-Founder of Gather Women, believes that cultivating the soil in this nation by gathering, developing and equipping Canadian Christian women will nurture a collective voice and a presence that can radically impact our culture. Lynn Smith

Formerly the Dean of Students at Tyndale College and Seminary, Lynn has spoken in many countries with The World Evangelical Fellowship and Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. Lynn was the Lead for the Curriculum team for NextLEVEL Leadership and has authored the books Gender or Giftedness and Mentoring: Leaving a Legacy.
